  7.     Margaret Thatcher once confidently predicted that her
  8. political reign would "go on and on." Now chafing in forced
  9. retirement, the former British Prime Minister apparently intends
  10. to apply that philosophy to the writing of her memoirs. Thatcher
  11. is talking about dividing her life story into three or four
  12. volumes, more than potential U.S. publishers hope to see -- or
  13. sell. Perhaps the Iron Lady wishes to continue emulating her
  14. idol Winston Churchill, who wrote more than two dozen books
  15. during his lifetime.
